Wolverines gear up for NCSA All-Star Game on 11/22 at Lodi Grape Bowl
The following players will represent the Rosemont Jr. Wolverines at the first annual NCSA All-Star Game to be played at Lodi on 11/22. Come out and support these young men! See the attached flyer under the Schedule page.

Jr. Wolverine Cheer had a great showing at the NCSA Cheer Competition
Our young ladies showed they have spirit and know how to have fun at the annual NCSA Cheer Comp. All our teams worked real hard all season and it showed! The Jr. PeeWee overcame several obstacles during the season to take a 2nd place finish. This team had three different coaches during the season and only had 4 girls on the squad. They showed some great moves to get the 2nd placed finish! Great job ladies and thank you coaches for stepping to the plate!
Cheer season is not over; a couple of the squads will be moving on to other competitions around the state!
Wolverines Represent well in Championship Game
Rosemont won 1 of the 4 games they participated in on Saturday at the NCSA Championships. All games were great contests.
The Mighty Mites fought even without having the #1 option, Davon Frazier, who went down with a knee bruise early in the 1st quarter. Little Frazier came back in the game from time to time to test his knee and at one point broke a 50+ yard TD run to make the game 13-12 but the Wolverines came up short on the Pat and that’s score ended. If you didn’t see this; game you missed one of the best MM games in a long time. Congratulations Mighty Mites you had a great season!
The Jr. Peewee scored early in the 1st quarter and held on with a stifling defense for 7-6 win. Franklin stepped their game up for this one but the boys from Rosemont played with heart and determination. The JPW did what was expected of them from the first day of camp. Great job Jr. PeeWees!
The Jr. Midgets battled another great Elk Grove team. The game was not decided until very late in the 4th quarter. This group of kids has proved over the last 3 years that they can win the big game and when they do get defeated they can loose with class. Great job Jr. Midgets!
The Midget game featured the two teams that were expected to be there from day one; Elk Grove and Rosemont. Our boys stepped their game up to a level we had not seen out of them all year. A fake punt followed by a questionable pass interference call lead to only score of the 1st half. Both teams played hard the entire game but Rosemont came up a little short, losing 30-14. This is the 1st Rosemont Midget team to make the Championship Game and will look to take that one step further next season. Great job Midgets!

Wolverines sweep Valley at home
Rosemont won 5 of 5 games this past week against the Valley Jr. Vikings. For the 1st time in the Jr. Wolverines 11 year history, Rosemont will be putting 4 teams in the play-offs. All of them have Championships hopes.
This week’s featured game was the PeeWee game. The Jr. Wolverines PeeWee team has been up and down all year. They came into this game at 3-4. However, their heart is much larger than the record shows. They fought hard all game against Valley and scored the go ahead TD with under 3 minutes to go in the game.
The game featured several dazzling offensive plays from Michael McNeill and Kameron Williams. Coach Ken Taylor and his staff have made sure these young men have fought hard every game all year. Kudos!

Wolverines take 2 of 5 at Elk Grove
Elk Grove week was Saturday 10/18. This has become the weekend in which our squads are tested the most.
The Mighty Mites were down 13-7 with ball and as time ran out #21 Devon Frazier tore off a 73 yard touchdown run to tie the game and sent it into overtime where the Wolverine team play pulled out a 19-13 win to pull the Wolverines closer to securing a play-off spot.
The Jr. Peewee continued their dominance of the NCSA with a 33-0 win.
The Peewee fought hard but came up just one score short. Final score was 20-12.
The Jr. Midget team battled against a fast, deep, and well coached Elk Grove squad. The Jr. Wolverines actually lead at halftime 7-6 but couldn’t get it going in the 2nd half. Final score was 22-7. Look for these two teams to meet again.
The Midget team also battled against a talented and well coached squad. The Wolverines moved the ball well but had 4 first half turnovers and spotted the Jr. Herd a 14-0 lead after tow series. The Wolverines defense tightened up their belts and played Elk Grove as tough as anyone has all year. The Wolverine offense finally got on the scoreboard in the 4th when Jalen Walker caught a 30 yard TD pass from Tommy Arnold. On the ensuing kick-off George Brown made an amazing recover of his own onside kick. Also look for these two teams to meet again.

Wolverines take 4 of 5 from Sheldon
Saturday 9/27 the Jr. Wolverines traveled south down Bradshaw Road to take on the Jr. Huskies of Sheldon. Four of the five games were decided early in the game. The Mighty Mite game was closely contested game the entire way. The Jr. Wolverines Mighty Mites have proven week in and week out that they can play with any team in the league. This team is a bunch of tough youngsters that are learning how to win by fighting to the last whistle each week.
The Jr. Wolverines scored first early in the 1st quarter on dazzling run by Devon Frazier. The Jr. Huskies responded with 1st quarter touchdown to tie the score a 6. The Wolverines controlled the ball and clock for most of first half due to solid offensive and defensive line play led by #7 Amin Barker.
In the 3rd quarter Rosemont took a 12-6 lead on a 20 yard run by young Mr. Frazier. At end of three quarters of play the score stood 12-6 in favor of the Jr. Wolverines. Early in the 4th Devon Frazier broke out on a 60 yard run but was tripped up and fumbled at the 1 yard line. Sheldon recovered the fumble but on their first play they fumbled in the end zone which was recovered by Rosemont’s #6 Jordan McKay for a Jr. Wolverine touchdown making the score 18-6.
With the game now seemingly in hand the Wolverines coaching staff turned to a group of 7 year olds to hold the lead. This group of young men held on to the lead playing a bend but don’t break style of defense. The Jr. Huskies did score a TD to make the score 18-12 but with only 2 minutes left on the clock the Wolverines offense ran the rest of the clock out to seal he victory.

Important Practice Time Change starting 9/23
Due to it getting dark earlier practice times will be changing to 5:30 to 7:30 pm. We know this will make some children run a little bit late. Please make sure you discuss it with your Head Coach and it will not be a problem as long as the child is dressed and hustling when they get to the field.
Wolverines take 3 of 5 from Franklin
Saturday 9/20 was the clash of two NCSA powerhouses; The Jr. Wolverines and Jr. Wildcats of Franklin. Three of the five games were decided pretty early. The Mighty Mite game was close until late in the fourth quarter. The Midget game was a classic battle of two teams that both want it and have an abundance of talent.
The Jr. Wildcats scored on the 2nd play of the 2nd quarter but their two point kick hit the upright and bounce out. Early in 3rd quarter, the Jr. Wolverines RB Robert Frazier went down with a mild back strain. The other Wolverine players kept the game 6-0 until 8:00 minutes left in the game when Mr. Frazier came in and electrified the crowd with a 5 yard touchdown run with two great blocks from Jordan Lee and Josh Patterson. With the game tied at 6-6, The Wolverines turned to the power game and punched in the conversion with some hard running from Jordan Lee. With the game now 7-6 in the favor of Rosemont; the stingy defense took over. The defense held and got he ball back to the offense with just over a minute to go. Playing it safe; the Wolverines kneeled the ball until they were forced to run a play on 4th and 11 yards to go with 20 seconds left on the clock. Without a timeout, Wolverines quarterback Tommy Arnold called his own play and completed a 30 yard pass to Jalen Walker to seal the game.
These two teams will definitely be seen in post season.
